The House of Experiments

The House of Experiments is the first non-profit Science Centre in Romania where the children are challenged to discover the science. Among those who visit us we can have the future inventors like Marie Curie or Henri Coandă. In the House of Experiments you can find a cluster of Science exhibits installed permanently all meant for play while learning of science. It is in fact a Science Centre with an innovative concept of teaching Science in an informal way.

The basic concept of the House of Experiments is enhancing the tendency of the children to play more than to read. Various hands-on interactive exhibits manage to create explorative contexts in which it is possible to have a personal experience of the phenomena and to explore situations, asking questions. In fact the principle is “learning by doing” but in a funny way also.

The House of Experiments was created through the project co-financed by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss contribution to the enlarged European Union. The project had a duration of 18 months and the implementation period was 01.01.2015 - 30.06.2016.

Our visitors are oldre than 3 years (preschool children, school children, high schools and teachers), and arrive in groups or families from all over the country. Our strategy is given by “Science for everyone” concept.
